We create a custom plan based on your garden's needs, seasonality and budget. Most gardens require weekly, fortnightly or monthly maintenance visits to consistently look their best.
What's included in a standard maintenance visit?
Typical visits include mowing, edging, hedge trimming, weeding, pruning, and pest and disease management. The exact scope depends on your garden and agreed maintenance plan.
Do I need to be home during the visit?
No - as long as we have access to the garden our team can complete the work independently and leave everything clean and tidy.
Can you help with larger garden projects or planting?
Yes - we can assist with seasonal improvements, planting, mulching, turfing and garden upgrades can be offered as a separate service.
What happens if it rains on the scheduled day?
If weather conditions prevent safe or effective work, the visit will be rescheduled to the next suitable day while maintaining your regular service cycle.
Can you help with plant selection or replacements?
Absolutely. We can recommend suitable plants based on sunlight, soil conditions, and long-term maintenance requirements, and provide quotes for installation.
What areas do you service?
We primarily service Sydney's North Shore, between Wahroonga to Roseville and the surrounding suburbs.
Do you manage irrigation systems?
Basic irrigation adjustments and monitoring are included as part of maintenance. Repairs or upgrades can be quoted separately if required.
How do you handle overgrown gardens?
Heavily overgrown gardens may require an initial restoration or catch-up visit before transitioning into ongoing maintenance.
What work is done in winter if plants aren’t growing much?
Although growth slows in winter, it is one of the most valuable seasons for garden maintenance. Jake is amongst the most highly skilled of gardeners in Sydney. It is extremely difficult to find a gardener who can strim intricate, round garden bed borders, and who can do topiary on even potted grasses. Jake knows the latest effective and cost-efficient products and is very good at communicating, even out of hours, due to his care for his customers. Despite his skill, Jake is competitively priced. I have recommended Jake to neighbours and friends.

Jake and his team from Maplewood Gardens did a wonderful job with our overgrown hedges (Muraya, camelias) which almost encircle our four boundaries, and shaping our potted fig trees and mowing lawns. They were efficient, hard working, excellent communicators and also offered advice about how to keep the gardens and lawns healthy and looking great. The 'clean up' of our site was exceptional and now it's pure pleasure every time we walk in the gardens (front and back yards). We've booked them for a return visit in the months ahead. I would recommend Maplewood Gardens . Initially Jake and Bruno pruned and shaped my camellias I was so pleased I arranged a return visit to clear a garden bed and plant a camellia hedge . Jake is a good communicator, reasonably priced and the job well done .
